I have worked as an independent metalsmith for the past twelve years. I began my design career as an architect, and I continue to explore ideas in jewelry which parallel those qualities that fascinate me in the built and natural environments: materiality, texture, luminosity, geometry and rhythm. The rich textures and abstract geometries in my pieces are inspired by organic forms and by the fabrication process, where the application of fire, brute force, and delicate manipulation transform raw materials into refined and unusual objects.
